LADOGA – Services were conducted at Greenwood Friday for Alonzo Ellis. 87, formerly of Ladoga, who died in a Greenwood nursing home Tuesday. Burial was in Ladoga Cemetery. Mr. Ellis was a contractor and carpenter by trade. He had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Cathryn Neefe, at Greenwood before going into the nursing home about three weeks ago. Mr. Ellis was born at Ladoga.He married Delcina Dickson of Jamestown. He was a former member of the Ladoga Oddfellows Lodge. Other survivors are a son, Charles Ellis of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Myers of Titusville, Fla.; a brother, Grover Ellis of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Malissa Pearson who resides in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. - typed by Chris M
